You can use Finder to search archive in your Hard drive or other media.

Components of Finder screen :
[Name and Location Tab]

Name -Specify which files is included in archive, use comma if multiple files.

Search In - Specify where to start searching.
 
Contain Text - Check if the files in archive include text specified. Only file(s) that match the "Include file(s)" field will be checked.
  
Search Subdirectory - Specify search sub-directory or not.

[Size and Date Tab]

Size Larger than / Size Smaller than - Specify file size in archive to search.

Date Start / Date End - Specify file date in archive to search.

[ Database related functions: ]
Rebuild database
(Database will be completely overwritten)
Press F ile \ D atabase \ R ebuild Database
Update a folder
(Update archive in a folder and it's subfolder)
Press F ile \ D atabase \ Update a F older , then select a directory.
Update Databse from a list
(This function is not useable now)
Press F ile \ D atabase \ U pdate Database
Use database to search
Tick the checkbox in Finder dialoge.
